As of the time I’m writing this, the phrase ‘buying e book with resell
rights’ gets about 500 plus monthly searches on Google. A quick check
at Google Trend shows that the same phrase is on upwards trend. And
after operating a personal e book store online for more than 2 years
now, I have gathered three most frequently asked questions on that
topic. Here they are (with no order of importance):

Question 1: If I purchase an e book with resale rights, what does it
mean actually?

Answer: Resale rights or resell rights means the same thing. The
difference is in the licensing that tag to it. There are private
labels, master resale, and plain resell rights.

Private label resale rights allow its buyer to fully customize the
package. The license that comes with the purchase will state something
like ‘can be given away’, ‘can be put the buyer name as the author’,
‘can sell master resale rights’, etc. But usually, it does not allow
selling private label rights except for ‘unlimited’ private label
right.

Hopefully all these do not sound confusing to you. Just remember that
licensing allows you to customize the package to a certain extent.
That’s all.

Master resale rights means the buyers can put their names together
with the original e book author name and the most that they can change
is the payment processor Buy Now button or adding their own special
bonus for purchasing the e book.

The bonus really helps to differentiate the buyers in the marketplace
in case they want to sell the e book later on.

Plain resell rights means the buyers can sell the license to another
buyer and the selling stops there. That means they can sell to only
one buyer or just one level below. They can’t pass the license after
that one buyer. But I can assure you, in my 2 years experience buying
and reselling e books online, this type of licensing is almost
obsolete. People either go for Master Resale Rights or Private Label
Rights.

By now you have known that when you buy an e book online with resale
rights, there are things that you can and cannot do depending on the
licensing.

Question 2: Can I copy the content of a resale rights e book and use
it as my own content?

Answer: That depends on the licensing of the package when you bought
it. You already know the 3 types of licensing – private label rights,
master resale rights and resell rights. By right, you should already
know that all private label rights allow you to use the content as
your own.

You can break the content into pieces and post it on your blog,
rewrite it and then submit it as article to article directory, and
combine it and totally change it into a different material. Private
label licensing allows that.

Most master resale rights prohibit breaking the material up. You can
combine a few master resale rights (MRR) and create a new package. But
you can’t break it up. It must be passed along as it is. Some MRR let
you offer them free to your paid membership members as an incentive
for joining.

And obviously for plain resell rights, copying the content and
claiming it as your own content is out of the question.

I have a recommendation for MRR and Resell Rights e book content; you
can’t copy it but there is nothing said about ‘improvising’ it and
uses the content as a guide post to come up with your own genuine
content. How’s that?

Question 3: Where can I buy e book with resale rights to sell?

Answer: I will keep the answer to this one short.

You have 3 simple choices.

1) Search the Search Engines for ‘e book with resale rights’ and see
what turns up. You can post question at forum with niche of your
choices and see what the forum members come up with.

2) Search the Affiliate Network like Clickbank or Paydotcom. Look for
e book with resale rights under your chosen topic and category. If you
are lucky, many merchants offer superb bonus with every purchase but
here is a better thing to do from here…

3) Use the Search Engines and find the e book topic with additional
search phrase ‘affiliate’ for example ‘Resellers Rights Riches +
affiliate’. Type that into the search box, with the quotation marks,
and see how it goes. You will get certain result pages and if you
think they are not enough, simply remove the quotation marks. That
shall do the trick.

But why do this?

I can tell you from experience that often time, in their effort to
sell a Resell Rights package, many affiliate offer bonuses that make
the original merchants pale in comparison. They have to do this to
persuade buyers and to position themselves apart from competitors.

It is a ‘win-win’ situation if you asked me. And that wraps up the 3
most frequently asked questions for this topic.

Nezrul H operates an online e book store personally for over 2 years
now and during those years, he had gathered enough information for
those who are interested in Resell Rights and compiled it into a
brief, downloadable report. You can see a sample of the report
focusing on private label resale rights here:
