Modifying Your PLR Products
You’ve bought your first PLR product, but aren’t sure where to start.
Begin with reading through your new purchase at least twice. Become
familiar with its content. Based on the Resell terms and conditions,
you’ve made a decision based on what’s offered in the package, and
your marketing strategy. Now you need to be sure that you understand
what it is that you’re about to re-write. Let’s take an introductory
look at the overall bundle, the headline, paragraphs, and overall
appearance.

1. The headline. Play around with the headline, writing out several
options. With experience you’ll get to grips with this and words will
start to flow. You’ll probably make many false starts, but don’t
delete anything, and don’t worry. Spend time persevering rather than
worrying. Ultimately what you’re trying to do is say the same thing in
a completely different way. This may seem obvious, but it’s worth
keeping in mind because we all know how easy it is to overlook the
obvious, and it’s a nice thing to bear in mind
2. Paragraphs. When you’ve done a couple of re-reads, narrow your
focus to one or two paragraphs at a time – and re-read again. This
way, you’ll get a flavour of what’s being said, and be in a better
position to be able to put you own perspective on it, and thus more
efficiently replacing the original content. Maybe there’s some
information, or experience you can add that will help to personalise
it.
3. Appearance. Get a feel for the overall appearance. Often it’s
better if you can print it out, then you can more easily see whole
pages at a time, and pages in relation to one another. Be critical;
look to see whether you can make it more pleasing to the eye, or
perhaps make the content flow better than the original, now that it’s
in your wording instead.
